IRES is an international comprehensive research platform with a multidisciplinary profile. We study developments in Russia and the post-Soviet area from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. Our scholars publish extensively and IRES is home to the editorial teams of the Journal of Baltic Studies and Uppsala Yearbook of Eurasian Studies. IRES arranges regular events and manages a renowned Guest Researchers’ Programme.
