Summer greetings

Summer is here and most of us at the IRES are soon going on vacation.

During the spring term, we have organized two international conferences "Transplanting Pushkin. A Symposium on Reading, Translating and Adapting Eugene Onegin" and " Russia's Role in World Politics". The term concluded with an annual conference entitled "The Russian Revolution and Its Legacies: Taking Stock a Century Later" that was organized at Tartu University, Estonia, for the third year in a row. The conference was organized in collaboration with the University of Tartu and Kent within the framework of the three-year "TWINNING" project funded by the EU's "Horizon 2020" program. During the past term, a number of guest researchers from, among others, Ukraine, Canada, Belarus, Russia and Latvia have stayed at the Institute. Finally, we have had an exciting and varied seminar program with researchers and practitioners who have held talks around various themes.

Seminar program for the fall term will be uploaded on our website in August.

We at the Institute thank everyone who has been involved in our activities in various ways and wish everyone a nice and relaxing summer!
